Bus Stop proposal: AGM decision and what’s next

We wanted to give you a quick update on the bus stop proposal put forward at the CVA 2025 AGM held in mid-March.
After a lot of discussion, the proposal to support a village wide survey by an independent surveyor was turned down by CVA members. It was a pretty close call, and it is clear that opinions are still quite divided on the issue.
If you are keen to keep the conversation going, the Innerleithen Civic Group is the next stop (pun intended!). They’re happy to chat things through if you want to explore other options or share your thoughts.
On a different note, a big shoutout to Robin Waddell, who reached out to Tweed Wheels, a local community transport initiative. Tweed Wheels is considering setting up a more regular service from the Village - but they will only go ahead if there is enough interest. For more info, visit Tweed Wheels.
In the short term while activity around the bus stop is unclear, it's fantastic option for anyone looking for extra transport support, so please spread the word if you know someone who might benefit!
We will keep you posted on any further updates. In the meantime, feel free to reach out if you have questions or suggestions about the above.
